About the event
Teenage Dirtbag Workshop
In our Teenage Dirtbag Workshop we will spend lots of time doing nothing - a difficult skill that a lot of excitable teenagers struggle with! The main focus of this workshop will be teaching our teenage dogs to relax and settle under big distractions, to build focus and connection between the handler and dog, and to help you motivate your dog to listen to you.
This workshop is perfect for you if your dog struggles to relax or listen outdoors, you have connection at home but not on walks, your dog is great until there's other dogs or wildlife or scent to distract them!
To participate in this day your dog must:
Be 5 months - 2 years old.
Not be aggressive / reactive / injured / ill / in season.
All exercises can be made easier and harder as needed. If you're unsure on the level please ask.
The morning includes ~2 hours of training and a short break.
One handler per dog. No spectators please. Dog must not be aggressive / reactive / injured / ill / in season.
This is at the Arthington training ground. Please bring your normal training gear.
